Streetlove recently had the pleasure of a few days in Thessaloniki, Greece.
The Tourism Board – Discover Greece – organized a blog trip with 45 bloggers, from 12 countries to discover and enjoy the second largest city of Greece.

Thessaloniki is a very young city – 70,000 students – and received the title of ‘European youth city’. It was a great pleasure to wonder around and meet the locals.

At first glance, we only found tags and very basic graffiti, but after taking the time to explore a little more, we were pleasantly surprised to find some really cool pieces.
Street art & graffiti is huge over there – we took loads of cool murals but we did not get the chance to meet local artists So if you recognized murals from artists you know, please let us know in the comment section.

One evening we headed out for a drink at Fragile Bar (rooftop bar – central city), and came across a live concert in the street, along with live painting!!

Much like the city itself, with its cool rooftop bars, cute cafes and small surprises, we found Thessaloniki to be a city of hidden street-art treasures. And we recommend to spend a long week-end there to enjoy the good weather, nice people and art.
