For having lived in the Marais for more than 10 years, of course we met Pimax, the activist street artist mainly visible in this trendy hood.
First coz we love Marylin Monroe and all its representation… and then for the kids characters and toys he paints as well: Astro boy and Goldorak.
Pimax is not only a street artist, he is also a sculptor (with resina) and a DJ.
We have seenb his artwork, pretty much everywhere, we mean on any support: sidewalks, shutter doors, cars, walls, construction barriers, flower pots, pedestrian crossing, …
He loves playing with the urban codes, and works mostly with mono-layer stencils spray paint in black (quick and easy way to do it on the streets).
He is a really nice guy and open-minded… we see more Nourf Nourf now on the walls, the urban dog he likes to paint with 4 main colors: blue, green, yellow and red. Thanks to this dog, the artist likes to represent the various moods humans can have along their lifes.
