We never took part to the event Les Lézards de la Bièvre but always followed the news and we went to see the new pieces put up on the streets. We were amazed to discover that year the beautiful pieces by Jana und Js – an artistic couple franco-austrian.
We adored their artworks at first sight – life size people with vintage cameras, and polaroid scenes 🙂
Jana und Js are a couple who’s art lives not only in the urban setting, but also in exhibitions.
They seem inspired by the city, its architecture and perpetual change, but also by the act of observation, playing with the observer like a mirror.
They use the technique of stencil, developed thanks to Artiste Ouvrier, another master.
She is Austrian and he is French, and they’ve lived in Salzbourg, after having lived in Madrid and Paris.
